Emotional victory for FC Hermannstadt, 1-0 against FCU Craiova, in the Super League

FC Hermannstadt emotionally defeated FCU Craiova, with a score of 1-0 (0-0), on Friday evening, in Sibiu, in the first match of the 27th stage of the Football Super League. The only goal of the game was scored by Portuguese striker Ruben Fonseca (88), with a header from Raul Opruţ's cross.

With this success, the Sibiu provisionally climb to a play-off spot (6). FC Hermannstadt has two wins and two draws in the last five matches. The Sibians have lost only one match at home this season, in the first round.

Dinamo Bucharest left the last place in the football Super League, after another victory

Dinamo Bucharest defeated Oţelul Galati with a score of 3-1 (2-1), on February 18, 2024, at the Arc de Triumf Stadium in the capital, in a match from the 26th stage.

Dinamo opened the scoring quickly, through Dennis Politic (3), from Hakim Abdallah's cross.

The Galatians restored the tie through Alexandru Mihai Pop (17 – penalty), after the video referee signaled a foul by Darko Velkovski on Dragan Lovric.

Dinamo entered the break with an advantage, after Eddy Gnahore's goal (34), from the same Abdallah's pass. The Frenchman scored his first goal in the Super League. The team coached by the Croatian Zeljko Kopic closed the table with the success of Hakim Abdallah (81 – penalty), after Josue Homawoo was fouled by George Cîrjan, an offense reported by the video referee. Dinamo also created opportunities through Gnahore (64), Abdallah (72) and Antonio Borduşanu (90), while the guests had opportunities at the end, but goalkeeper Adnan Golubovic rejected Pop's shot (90+2), and then Miguel Silva's (90+3), after which Cîrjan sent over the goal.
