I was at that coalition, no names were given and it remains that they are still discussing to find the best option, so I at least do not have a name at this moment. They were circulated in the press. With all due respect, Mrs. Kovesi was also circulated, that is, I am telling you that it was not discussed, in the discussion in the coalition, the last one, or the most recent one, it was decided to continue the discussions to identify the most suitable person for such a thing. There is no decision up to this point”, said Senator Lucian Romaşcanu, on the B1TV station, after he was asked about the discussions in the coalition regarding the woman who will open the list for the European Parliament elections, several names having previously been circulated, including Luminița Odobescu.

The spokesperson of the PSD claimed that on the agenda of Monday's meeting of the governing coalition, debates in this regard are planned.

“In today's meeting, we will probably go to these names, we will probably go to the people who will be tested in the polls for Bucharest. We'll see, there are also things related to the legislative projects under discussion, and about governance, it's not all just elections in the coalition talks“, Romascanu explained.

As reported by Adevărul, last week, according to the discussions so far in the Coalition, PSD and PNL are looking for people without a party card, to open the list for the European Parliament elections, the consensus being that it should be a lady, either with European expertise or from the area of entrepreneurship, or a former athlete known for her performances.
