Thiago Derminio, a content creator and tech enthusiast, shared these tips in a viral video on Instagram, leaving many users amazed at the effect of these changes, according to the New York Post.

“The greatest villain for iPhone it’s the battery”, stated Thiago Derminio, explaining how many users complain about battery performance. “Everyone complains that it runs out too quickly, and it gets worse over the years,” he said.

1. Disable Siri suggestions and background tasks

Derminio recommends going to your iPhone’s settings and looking for the “Siri & Search” section. Here, users need to disable “Suggestions from Apple” to reduce background power consumption. “These features consume battery in the background and you don’t need them to be activated”explained the expert. It also suggests turning off the “Background app refresh” option in the “General” settings, as this allows apps to update automatically, even when they’re not actively open.

2. Reduction of movement and animations

Another effective trick is to enable the “Reduce Motion” option in the “Accessibility” section. This will reduce animations and visual transitions between apps, thus saving power.

3. White point reduction

Herby Jasmin, the founder of the website Gotechtor, has also added another trick that can help save battery. “If you’re willing to have a more intense display, change the settings to ‘reduce white point’Jasmin explained. This is done by going to the “Accessibility” section and then to “Display and text size”. “Once there, you can turn white point reduction on and off.”

Additional battery saving tips

In addition to these tricks, there are other tips for saving iPhone battery. PC Mag recommends turning off location services and choosing apps that send push notifications only when necessary. It is also suggested to turn off Siri’s “active listening” feature to save power.

Apple suggests using auto-brightness, low-power mode, and Wi-Fi to preserve battery life. In the “Battery” section of settings, users can check their battery efficiency percentage and which of their apps are using the most power.
