Hymn for Ilie Bolojan composed by a well-known journalist from Bihor: “Craftsman cut it, but also taxed it!

A well-known journalist from Bihor, Mircea Chirilă, composed a carol dedicated to Ilie Bolojan, amid the austerity measures announced by the Government so far.

The carol composed by Mircea Chirilă, editor-in-chief of the ebihoreanul.ro publication, appears as an original reaction to the course and leadership style of the current prime minister. Bolojan is known for the tough decisions that have brought him, over time, both support and a lot of criticism.

Find below the carol dedicated to Ilie Bolojan:

“He left last year

Badea Bolojan

Just at Bucale

He got his quickly

mahar to the party

That the poor peneles

Woe to them.

They quickly voted for him

And head of the Senate,

They stayed here

Many without jobs.

how was it right

They anointed him president.

The former, KWI,

He went skiing.

But it didn’t last long,

That he was called

At the Government, as head,

That he is smart.

Plus it’s frugal

And put on the cut.

craftsman to cut,

But also charged!

VAT increased,

It hurt us a lot,

High Inflation –

Empty in the pockets.

But it didn’t stop,

He was stubborn

to finally escape

Because of that deficit.

What drives him in battle?

Low interest!

All the magistrates

They were shaken

Of special pensions

And they kicked him out.

Frozen pensions,

cut wages,

thanks to you

Come on, dear Ilia!

The colleagues, full of hate,

Alas, how they curse him!

But not Elijah

With patience you know.

whatever, anyway

He goes his own way,

A long but smooth one:

Bucharest-Birtin.

He saw everything

He knows: it can’t be done

To exterminate the thief,

This is Romania.

What more can you say?

Mythical land…”

Just last night, December 23, the Government of Romania adopted the Emergency Ordinance for the completion of some fiscal-budgetary measures, known as the “Trenulet Ordinance”.

The prime minister claims that the data shows a decrease in state spending and a reduction in the deficit, while the legislative act is essential for budgetary stability until the 2026 budget is approved.

Bolojan, a series of drastic measures at the local level as well

Ilie Bolojan stood out as a politician through a series of measures considered by many to be drastic, aimed at making public administration more efficient.

One of the main characteristics that defined his public image was that of a leader willing to reduce the budget apparatus and restructure the institutions he led.

During the period in which he was mayor of Oradea, between 2008 and 2020, Bolojan reduced the staff in the local administration by approximately 30%. Thus, out of almost 1,000 employees, almost 700 remained in office. The restructuring aimed at positions considered unnecessary and increasing the efficiency of the administrative apparatus, he says.

The same approach was applied after taking over the leadership of the Bihor County Council, where in 2020 the staff was reduced by approximately 40%. At that time, almost half of the employees were fired.

Later becoming president of the Romanian Senate, Ilie Bolojan initiated new staff reductions, arguing that the institution can function efficiently with a more flexible administrative apparatus.
