The world leader paraded at the ATP Finals, defeating all his opponents, both in the group stage, in the knockout stages and in the final. What’s more, he beat American Taylor Fritz twice. The final victory, achieved in one hour and 25 minutes, 6-4, 6-4, was the crowning of a fabulous year, in which he also conquered his first Grand Slam tournaments, but also escaped a doping scandal in who was involved.

Sinner won without dropping a set

In Turin, Jannik Sinner reached the final of the Tournament of Champions last year as well, when he lost to Novak Djokovic. Now the Italian has set a record by dropping just 33 games throughout the tournament. No other player has lost so few games to the trophy. In addition, the world number one became the first player to win the trophy without dropping a set throughout the tournament in 38 years. In 1986, Ivan Lendl managed a similar feat.

For his perfect course at the Tournament of Champions, Jannik Sinner will be rewarded with a staggering $4,881,100.
