“The oath is sacred. As a military man, I know full well that violating it can cost lives and reduce confidence in life-saving professions. Those who violate the Hippocratic Oath – to protect and serve – should be punished promptly and severely. Those responsible for the operation and improvement of the health system to prevent such violations – for example, the Minister of Health – must act without hesitation and the authorities must provide the necessary support to the families of those who suffered in such a terrible case”Nicolae Ciucă wrote on Facebook on Wednesday.
He added that it is essential for people to be assured that those who take an oath of office really follow through on their commitments.
“Without trust, they will not come to us when they need it, and society as a whole will suffer.“, concludes the PNL leader.
Two doctors from the Emergency Clinical Hospital “St. Pantelimon” from Bucharest were detained on Wednesday for qualified murder, being accused of having caused the death of a serious patient by suddenly decreasing the dose of noradrenaline. In the file, a nurse was also detained for perjury.
