The Humanist Social Liberal Party, through me personally, sent President Ciucă and President Ciolacu a letter of intent not to run (no on their part), but to form a social-liberal alliance in which we would also be (.. .) I am calling to form an alliance for Bucharest, already having the experience of some alliances that work with the Humanist Social Liberal Party in District 4 and I said that, if a candidate will be set up in District 2, if PSD will name the current prefect of the capital, we will form an electoral alliance for Sector 2 as well”Cristian Popescu Piedone said on Monday, for Antena 3, writes Agerpres.

He pointed out that, for the rest of the Sectors in the Capital, the Social Liberal Humanist Party has its own candidates.

Cristian Popescu Piedone mentioned that he decided to run for the Capital City Hall from the PUSL side, considering the situation and the political evolution on the Bucharest scene.

Social democrats and liberals do not coagulate the portrait of a general mayor to defeat Nicuşor Dan. I thought I'd give them a hand. If they will decide this, to support me! If they don't support me, I thank them anyway, because I will certainly have the support of most citizens of Bucharest”he added.

Cristian Popescu Piedone announced, Sunday evening, that he will run for the Capital City Hall, from PUSL. The mayor of Sector 5 specified that he will support the mayor of Sector 4, Daniel Băluţă (PSD), for a new mandate, and in his place in Sector 5 he will propose his son, deputy Vlad Popescu Piedone.
