Puya, upset after his concert was interrupted for a fan climbing a pole: “Are you from the Police? It’s his business if he wants to be there”

A tense moment during a concert performed by Puya has gone viral on TikTok. The artist was asked to stop the show and convince a spectator perched on a pole to come down, but the rapper’s reaction was not the expected one.

The incident took place on Saturday, July 4, during the concert performed by Puya within the events organized on the occasion of Ghimbav City Days, Brașov county.

The footage, captured during Puya’s show, was posted on TikTok and shows the artist as a man near the stage keeps gesturing for him to stop the music. Initially, the artist pauses and approaches the one who requested this, trying to find out what is happening.

But, as soon as he finds out what exactly the spectator wants from him, that is to convince a fan perched on a pole to get down from there, the rapper gets angry.

“Are you from the police? From the stage? Well, and you’re stopping my concert to tell that guy to get off the pole? God forbid!

Well, brothers, let’s understand: here, when the world gets on the stage, it makes a show. You’re stopping me from the show… it’s his business if he wants to be there,” Puya is heard commenting.

The scene captured in the viral video generated mixed reactions among those who watched the footage. Some commenters agreed with Puya, saying it was not his job to stop a concert to solve a spectator’s problem, while others argued that spectator safety should be a priority for organizers and artists.

Despite the criticism, Puya, whose real name is Dragoș Gărdescu, is one of the best-known Romanian rappers and one of the artists who laid the foundations of the domestic hip-hop scene.

He became known especially as a member of the band La Familia, which had an important role in the development of Romanian rap. After the La Familia period, Puya continued on his own and released numerous tracks that became known to the general public.

His style combines street rap with social themes, personal stories and more commercial influences, and his best-known tracks include “Somewhere in the Balkans”, “Change” and “Americandrim”.

A sign that the artist still has many fans and is appreciated is the fact that even in 2026 Puya is on the list of Romanian artists who will take the stage of the Beach Festival, Please!, an event dedicated especially to hip-hop, rap and urban music.
