Students who will obtain an average of 10 in the national exams in 2024 will receive between 2000 and 5000 lei. The amounts would be the same from 2022, Edupedu points out.
“Prizes worth 2,000 and 5,000 lei respectively for each graduate who obtained an average of 10 in the national exams! In today’s Government meeting, the draft Government Decision was approved regarding the granting of these financial incentives to 74 8th grade graduates (incentives worth 2,000 lei) and 80 high school graduates (incentives worth 5,000 lei), who obtained an average of 10 in the national exams of 2024. Their performance must be appreciated and supported! I heartily congratulate these students, as well as their teachers and parents, who have supported them unconditionally. The Ministry of Education will continue to support and encourage performance in the education system.“, transmitted Ligia Deca, through Facebook.
More than 150 students will be awarded
According to the substantiation note of the project: “In the year 2024, a number of 80 high school graduates obtained an average of 10 at the baccalaureate exam (58 in the national baccalaureate exam, 1 in the special session and 21 in the German baccalaureate exam), June-July 2024 session, and 74 8th grade graduates obtained an average of 10 in the national assessment.”
“Today we come up with new measures to reward and encourage school performance. Thus, we grant a financial incentive to students who obtained a grade 10 in the secondary and high school graduation exams this year“, said Prime Minister Marcel Ciolacu in the Government meeting on Wednesday.
The Head of the Executive announced that eighth grade graduates with an average of 10 in the national assessment will receive 2,000 lei, and those with an average of 10 in the Baccalaureate will receive 5,000 lei.
“I think it is a natural gesture of appreciation of school performance, a principle that we put at the base of the public education system“, said Marcel Ciolacu.
In 2022, the amounts awarded were similar, and the list of beneficiaries was approved four months after the exams were taken and the results were published.
