The College of Doctors from Romania asks the authorities “viable solutions and measures” so that medical services can be provided in Prahova, a county affected by the lack of water.
The Romanian College of Physicians announces that Prof. Univ. Dr. Cătălina Poiană, the president of the body, had a discussion with the president of the Prahova College of Doctors, Dr. Petrovici Mihaela, addressing the difficulties encountered in the county as a result of the shortage of drinking water, writes News.ro.
“Water is an essential element, having, at the same time, a primary importance for the entire community. It is essential to emphasize that, in addition to the hospitals in Prahova county, the water crisis directly affects the offices of family doctors and outpatients”the representatives of the College of Doctors sent.
According to them, Cătălina Poiană highlighted the importance of dialogue at the local level between the Prahova College of Physicians and the Prahova Public Health Directorate, institutions that are involved in supporting the affected medical units.
“The College of Doctors from Romania requests the competent authorities to identify viable solutions and measures so that the medical activity can be carried out and can be granted under optimal conditions to patients in Prahova County, regardless of the category of the units“, the representatives of the professional body also sent.
More than 107,000 people are affected by the lack of drinking water, as well as institutions, schools and sanitary units.
We remind you that Prime Minister Ilie Bolojan declared on Thursday, December 4, in Vienna, regarding the drinking water crisis in Dâmboviţa and Prahova, that solutions are being worked on, so that, by Monday, consumers in the area can benefit from water. The Head of Government emphasized that those responsible for the current situation will be held accountable.
