The images captured recently in the Vânători-Neamț Natural Park have sparked intense reactions online, after a group consisting of three women and two children was filmed while repeatedly trying to climb a little girl on a wooden sculpture representing a naturalized bison.
In the publicly released video, the three women can be seen circling the statue, clinging to it and climbing on it, repeatedly trying to get a little girl onto the animal’s back.
The child passes from one to the others, each of them trying, in one way or another, and insisting on putting the child on the statue, while the little one seems quite insecure and a bit losing her balance.
Next to the three women there is also a second little girl, quite small as well, who witnesses the whole scene.
The whole moment seems motivated by the desire to take a photo, but the way the wooden bison is used has raised questions and raised concerns among the management of the protected area.
The representatives of the Vânători-Neamț Natural Park reacted quickly, drawing attention to the fact that such behavior can lead to the degradation of the exhibited object, which has both an educational and symbolic role. Through a message on Facebook, they pointed out that the wooden structure is sensitive and can be easily damaged.
“Please avoid the behaviors shown in the video below! The naturalized bison is made of wood, and some parts can be easily damaged. Any damage can attract liability! Thank you for your understanding, Vânători-Neamț Natural Park Administration”, it is shown in the institution’s message.
After the images appeared, numerous critical reactions began to appear on the comments section, each one more acidic.
Many users expressed their displeasure at the lack of responsibility of some visitors and drew attention to an increasingly common phenomenon: the use of tourist attractions as scenery for photos, without regard to the rules or the risks involved.
“Nothing surprises us anymore, this is the level of culture of some, and unfortunately there are not a few of them. In order to resort to such great people, you have to have many minuses in the “PLATE WITH NEURONS”.
“Unbelievable! There needs to be an informational poster about activities like this; logic seems to be missing from many people’s lives!”
“God forbid, you really don’t have anything to ride home??? Where did you escape from?”
“Can’t you identify them and call the police?”
“How many fools there are in this country!”
“What doesn’t a man do for a good picture to put on Facebook?”
“The same is done at Dino Parc. Children, adults climb on the exhibits and damage them, but….what doesn’t the Romanian do for likes?”, are just some of the comments.
The representatives of the park remind that compliance with the rules in the protected areas is essential for the preservation of the natural and educational heritage. Such incidents, even if they seem minor, can have consequences for the exhibited objects and can attract the liability of those involved.
