The “Romanians have talent” finale brought great emotions to all ten contestants who took the stage. The evening ended with the victory of the Re-born dance troupe, which won the grand prize of 120,000 euros, as well as the prize for originality, worth 10,000 euros.
Quality show and strong emotions at “Romanians have talent”, broadcast by ProTV, in the last evening of season 16. On Friday, May 29, the 10 contestants qualified for the grand final took the stage, with different moments in style and approach, but with the same goal, that of getting the public’s votes. In the end, the one who managed to get the most of these was the dance troupe Re-born, who went home with the grand prize of 120,000 euros.
“We want to thank everyone who voted for us tonight,” said the 12 girls who make up the contemporary dance troupe immediately after the result was announced.
In second place was Albert Oprea, an 11-year-old child who attracted attention with the way he builds pictures from Lego pieces.
Immediately after him, in third place, came Antonia Voroneanu.
The fourth place went to Iosif Mândru, and Lucas Moroșan was in the fifth position. Brothers Eric and Eduard Radu ended their run at “Romanians have talent” in sixth place, followed by Rebeca Tomescu, in seventh place.
The following positions were occupied by Alexis Stan, in eighth place, Mikhail Ermakov in ninth place and Bianca Munteanu, who closed the ranking in tenth place.
In addition to the final ranking, the originality prize was also awarded, worth 10,000 euros, which also went to the band Re-born. Albert Oprea and Rebeca Tomescu were also nominated for the same distinction.
Who are the Re-born girls?
The Re-born troupe brings together 12 girls who work together under the guidance of choreographer Mihaela Codreanu, who has 26 years of experience and currently works as a teacher at the Children’s Palace in Târgu Mureș. Over time, a team of 12 girls gathered around her, which the teacher considers the most valuable she has trained so far and with whom she believes she can carry on her artistic projects, something confirmed by the success she had throughout the “Romanians have talent” show.
The statement for which Pavel Bartoș was heavily charged: what he said about the origins of a competitor who received the “Golden Buzz”
The girls work on contemporary dance, a style that choreographer Mihaela Codreanu characterizes as one of the most difficult, because, apart from technique, this style requires a deep understanding of the message conveyed by the music and the ability to transpose it through movement. That is why the preparations did not start directly with the choreographies, but with exercises through which they learned to observe human emotions and reactions. Gradually, they were guided to transform everyday life situations into artistic expression.
The results appeared over time and confirmed this approach. The troupe won the World Championship in Rome, where it climbed the podium three times, with 1st, 2nd and 3rd places, became national and international champion in competitions dedicated to Children’s Palaces, and last year participated in seven choreographies in international competitions, winning prizes in all categories.
Unfortunately, the conditions under which the 12 girls are preparing are not commensurate with their results. The room they train in is small and the facilities are limited in relation to the level they have reached. Due to the lack of funds, the rehearsals are sometimes held in other areas of the school or in the gym, after hours, so part of the 120,000 euros could go towards the renovation of the Children’s Palace hall in Târgu Mureș.
The surprise of the evening – Alexandra Căpitănescu
The end of season 16 and the grand finale of “Romanians have talent” also included a recital by Alexandra Căpitănescu, the evening’s special guest. Before performing the song “Chock me”, which brought her third place at “Eurovision” 2026, she recalled the moment of her appearance in this contest, where she says that, for her, everything started.
“When I participated, at the age of 15, I dreamed of reaching the finals. I have reached it now. I remember the first day when I filmed for the auditions and I know that I had great emotions. And when I heard from all 4 judges “YES”, I realized that I want to make music and that I want to be a singer. The whole family was proud, I remember that all my relatives called me. That was the step I took for Vocea României.
If Romanians have talent was the experience of the child, Voice of Romania was the baptism of my adult life. That’s when I learned what a little pressure means. My life changed, concerts came, I started to enter this life of an artist. The biggest performance was Eurovision and it was a great honor to represent Eurovision. I owe that girl since I was 15 to make music. My parents think they are very happy to see me today in the Romanians have talent final, because basically, this is where it all started.” said Alexandra Capitănescu.
