Tony Kanalos, the former colleague of Ianis Hagi and Andrei Rațiu at the national junior lots, suffering from amyotrophic side sclerosis, an incurable degenerative disease, was invited to the last quick match – Dinamo in the owner of Giulești.
Kanalos then lived big emotions at the end with the Giulesti players, even in the “Vișiniu” locker room. Amiotrophic lateral sclerosis (SLA) is an incurable disease, which is manifested by the death of nerve cells, atrophy of the muscles, the paralysis of the limbs and the gradual installation of the inability to speak and to swallow.
Former colleague with Ianis Hagi, Rațiu, Coman and Denis Ciobotariu at the U17/U18 lots, Sătmărean found an unexpected support from the Șucu family: the owner of the Rapid and his wife, Diana, intervened and contributed with 10,000 euros, through the Mobexpert Foundation, for the first stem cell transplant.
“There are gestures that leave me almost speechless! I don’t know how to thank these people. Even after the match, the son of Dânșilor came and he called me down to take a picture with the whole team, on the lawn. But the most excited I felt when the boys took me to the locker room. A lot of moments from the time I could play. Was like a mental and soul impulse“, Kanalos told GSP.
And continued: “Even at home, in Satu Mare, I did not have such a reception. Believe me, for a few minutes, I forgot that I am sick! I wanted to get up to celebrate with them Victoria but unfortunately the force does not help me”.
Ianis Hagi donated 200 euros for Tony’s cause.
