The “I believe in Romania” association announces the opening of applications for the 2026 edition of the “Romania wants to know you” career accelerator.
The project is designed as a bridge between young Romanians studying at universities abroad and professional opportunities in the country.
The program will take place between August 3 and 28, 2026, being a mentoring and networking marathon. Participants will spend time inside companies that have built in Romania, interacting directly with leaders and management teams to understand local market dynamics and development opportunities.
In addition to the educational component, the association offers each participant financial support worth 1,000 euros.
Romanian students from the diaspora who follow bachelor’s (minimum second year) or master’s programs in economic and business fields are invited to apply. Candidates must not have previously completed a form of higher education in Romania.
Interested young people can apply until June 12, 2026 on the dedicated platform: credinromania.ro/accelerator-de-cariera-2026/.
This year’s edition was joined by partners from several industries who have built successful businesses in Romania.
Each of these companies will open their doors to participants and offer a training experience very different from a classic internship. Also, some of them offer internship or career guidance opportunities to the participants who got involved in the project activities.
“Romania wants to know you is a reconnection effort, through which we bring young Romanians from the diaspora closer to the professional environment in the country. Together with our partners from the private sector, we offer them, through a unique program, not only a scholarship, but an open door to top companies and to leaders who are ready to become their mentors. We want these young people to discover a competitive Romania, where they can build their careers at the highest level and, more than both, to feel that he is at home here and that he deserves to return”said Justin Anghel, president of the Association “I believe in Romania”.
The association “I believe in Romania” is a non-profit, non-political and cultural-civic movement, made up of more than 30 volunteers who promote a balanced message of optimism and trust in society.
It stood out through large-scale projects such as “Catalyst”, the annual national art competition with the biggest prizes for young Romanian artists, and “Romania wants to meet you” which reconnects young people from the diaspora with the Romanian professional and cultural environment through internships and career opportunities.
