For the first time Dreamliner on charter flights in Romania
If you’ve ever flown long-haul, you know what airplane fatigue looks like. The pressure that can press on your ears, the dry air in the cabin, the constant noise of the engines. The Boeing 787 Dreamliner was built precisely to change that experience. Constructed of 50% composite materials, it has optimized cabin pressure equivalent to an altitude of 1,900 meters, cleaner and more humid air and windows 30% larger than any standard aircraft. The latest generation engines are significantly quieter. The result is simple, you arrive at your destination rested.
Until now, charter flights in Romania have never flown with such an airplane. Paralela45 is the first local tour operator to take this step, through the partnership with LOT Polish Airlines, the national company of Poland founded in 1929, with a fleet of 15 Dreamliner aircraft, one of the largest in Europe. On board, three flight classes, an absolute first on charter flights in Romania: 18 full-flat Business Class seats, 21 Premium Economy seats and 213 Economy seats.
Seven destinations, four absolute firsts
The Paralela45 exotic season 2026/2027 covers seven intercontinental destinations with weekly departures from Bucharest, between November 2026 and March 2027, with approximately 17,000 contracted seats.
Mexico (Cancún) is an absolute first for the Romanian market. No one has operated a direct charter from Bucharest to Cancún before. Beyond white sand beaches and turquoise waters, Mexico means Chichen Itza, one of the Seven Wonders of the Modern World, colonial cities pulsing with color and tradition, and UNESCO sites of world importance.
The Dominican Republic (Puerto Plata) is another absolute first for the local market. A more authentic and less crowded northern coast than Punta Cana, with pristine beaches, authentic vibrant energy, the colonial Fort San Felipe built in 1564 and Santo Domingo, the oldest capital in the New World.
Thailand lands in Bangkok, not Phuket. The difference is important, a charter in Bangkok opens up access to truly complex circuits, with routes covering the former royal capitals of Ayutthaya and Sukhothai, floating markets, Buddhist temples and neighboring Cambodia and Laos.
Vietnam (Phu Quoc) is responding to an accelerating demand growth. Vietnam’s largest island, with fine sandy beaches and turquoise waters, is the starting point for tours covering Ha Long Bay, the Mekong Delta, Hoi An and Hanoi.
Sri Lanka, Kenya and Egypt complete the portfolio, operated with Enter Air’s Boeing 737-8 MAX, Poland’s largest independent charter operator. Sri Lanka enters the Paralela45 charter offering for the first time, Kenya is reintroduced with an expanded offering, and Egypt remains a consistent and surprising presence.
