And as if that wasn’t enough, England were also without some of their equipment, including the players’ boots, which were stolen from a truck that was transporting them to England’s training base in Kansas City.
Here another problem arose. Namely one that keeps the weather. Yesterday, shortly after 20.00 local time, the British received a warning from the American authorities asking them to take shelter due to the risk of violent storms.
According to News.ro, the situation worsened after about 30 minutes, when a new tornado alert was issued in the area where the England team and its training center are located.
Ultimately, the UK team hotel and Swope Soccer Village base were not affected by the storm. Instead, numerous power outages were reported in the area.
With the weather improving, Thomas Tuchel’s players can now prepare as normal for the match against Croatia on Tuesday 16 June.
