The baccalaureate continues on Wednesday with the written test of the choice of the profile, according to the calendar approved by the Ministry of Education and Research.
Depending on the graduated profile, candidates can take the exam in Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Computer Science, Geography, Logic, Psychology, Economics, Sociology or Philosophy.
More than 33,000 candidates have registered for the fall session of the Baccalaureate 2026. However, not all of them take all the tests, as candidates can be recognized for tests passed in previous sessions
Access to the rooms, between 7.30 – 8.30
Candidates must appear for the written test/tests between 7.30 and 8.30. They will be led into the rooms by the assistants and will be seated one by one in the bench, in alphabetical order, according to the discipline and the type of subject received, according to the lists displayed. Between 8:30 and 9:00, candidates will be explained how to conduct the test.
Candidates’ access to the exam centers is based on a valid identity document. “At the time of access, candidates who have prohibited materials/objects in the exam room (mobile phones, notebooks, textbooks, notes, notes, etc., as well as any electronic means of calculation or communication, purse/bag, etc.) are directed to the storage room for them, where they will receive a bag/envelope in which to put them, together with a standard declaration stating the owner’s first and last name, together with the list of personal items that will be stored. If a candidate refuses to store the items in the allocated space, he will not be able to take the exam”informs the Ministry of Education.
The test starts at 9:00 a.m. and lasts 3 hours, which is counted from the moment when the distribution of subjects in the exam room is finished. Candidates whose request has been approved by the county commissions benefit from additional time (two hours at most).
The Ministry of Education provides the TELVERDE line 0800801100, on the days when the written tests are held, between 8:00 and 16:00, exclusively for reporting any malfunctions regarding the organization/conduct of the exam.
When the results are published
According to the Ministry of Education and Research, more than 33,000 candidates registered for the second session of the 2026 Baccalaureate. Over 22,000 are from the current promotion. It should be noted that those enrolled can take all the tests (if they are taking the exam for the first time or if they have not passed them in previous sessions) or, depending on the results obtained in previous sessions and recognized as such, only the tests not passed or for which they aim for a higher grade so that they obtain an average of at least 6.00 to pass the exam.
“The display of the first results will take place on August 18 (until 12:00). After the first display, candidates can request to view their paper(s), in accordance with the provisions of the procedure established by the National Baccalaureate Commission, and can file appeals (Tuesday, August 18, between 14:00 and 18:00, respectively on August 19 and 20). Submitting appeals is not conditional on viewing the works. In the same way, viewing the papers does not oblige the candidate to submit the appeal. Also, viewing the works is strictly informative and does not imply their correction”stated the representatives of the ministry.
The final results will be announced on Monday, August 24. Regardless of the stage, the communication of the results is done anonymously, using the individual codes that replace the candidates’ first and last names.
In the first session of Baccalaureate 2026, the pass rate before appeals (all promotions) was 74.8%, but the pass rate among candidates from previous promotions was only 31.7%.
