American actor Pat Finn, who appeared in popular TV series such as “Friends” or “Seinfeld” died on Monday, December 22, at the age of 60.
The actor died in his home in Los Angeles, after undergoing treatment for cancer in 2022, writes the BBC.
“Pat never met a stranger – only friends he didn’t know yet”his family sent in a statement published on social networks.

Finn’s first television role was on The George Wendt Show in 1995, where he played the main character’s brother. He also had a recurring role on Murphy Brown from 1995 to 1997.
In 1998 he starred as Joe Mayo on Seinfeld, playing a party host known for delegating unpleasant tasks to guests.
In the late 1990s and early 2000s, Finn made cameo appearances on numerous popular series, including “The King of Queens,” “Friends,” “That ’70s Show,” and “House.”
Probably his most famous role was that of Bill Norwood in “The Middle”, a series in which he appeared during eight seasons between 2011 and 2018.
“Pat has mentored, befriended and mentored countless students over the years and you would be hard pressed to find anyone who had a bad word to say about him“, his family wrote.
In a tribute to Finn, actor Richard Kind said there was no “a kinder, gentler, funnier and more down-to-earth person” than him.
“Always positive, makes you funnier and better. Great dad, great man.” Kind wrote on Instagram.
Pat Finn and his wife, Donna Crowley Finn, had three children together.
