The song “Macarena”, released only eight days ago, has already conquered millions of listeners, surpassing 3 million views on the YouTube platform and ranking first in the trending.
Although the success of the song was impressive, the Macarena was also accompanied by a series of diverse reactions online, from enthusiastic praise to criticism regarding the language used.
About her new piece, Erika Isac offered some exciting details:
“I mean the name of the song. It's called Women in Parliament or maybe just Parliament (…). The piece has been around for months. It's already written, please, I don't have the second verse written, but the chorus and the first verse are already written, as proof that it's not a marketing strategy (…).”
Erika Isac emphasized that her musical creation process is deeply personal and authentic:
“As I wrote the Macarena, this is how I wrote all the songs so far in the studio and this is how I will do it from now on. I mean precisely because it comes from a real area, it comes from something real that belongs to me.“
Asked about the reactions received from other public figures, the artist mentioned famous names such as Delia, Micutzuu, Aluziva and Faiăr, who appreciated and supported her creativity.
“I got a lot of great reactions from certain public figures that I really admire. Delia, Micutzuu, Aluziva, Faiăr and many others. There are a lot of public figures, including journalists, television people, who shared the song for the message, because we didn't know each other before, they didn't have any moral obligation that we were friends or something. We are still strangers.“
Regarding the release date of the upcoming track, Erika Isac revealed:
“On March 8th. My team is now more mobilized than ever and we decided to release March 8th because in the end it's about the symbolism behind it.“
