The auction, entitled “Princess Diana’s Style & A Royal Collection”, will be held live online, on June 26, at The Beverly Hills Peninsula, and offers for sale a number of objects that were part of Princess Diana’s wardrobe, starting from hats and shoes, to day and evening dresses.

“It is the largest tender with objects of Princess Diana, because it includes over 100 objects in her amazing life and career … Let us not forget that Diana herself sold over 70 of her dresses in 1997 in order to raise funds for her charitable organization,” said Martin Nolan, executive director and co -founder of Julien’s Auctions on Monday, at the Museum of Style Icons in Newbridge, Ireland, on an exhibition organized before the auction.

According to Agerpres, among the pieces is a silk floral dress created by Bellville Sassoon, nicknamed the “goodness dress”, due to the fact that Diana wore it several times during visits to hospitals and which has an estimated price between 200,000 and $ 300,000.

Also, a creamy silk and embroidery dress, created by Catherine Walker, which Princess Diana wore during a visit to the states of the Persian Gulf is estimated at a similar amount, while a two-piece floral print suit created by Bruce Oldfield and on which the princess was at the 1987 Royal event. $ 200,000.

A Dior purse was also given to the princess by the former prime minister of France Bernadette Chirac in 1995, a sketch of the wedding dress with tulle cuts for the princess of Prince Charles from 1981 and a peach-colored hat he wore in the honeymoon.

It should be mentioned that the auction of June 26 also includes objects that belonged to other members of the royal family, including Queen Elizabeth II and the mother queen.

The executive and co -founder director of Julien’s Auctions, Martin Nolan, expects the event to be a real success and recalls that at a previous auction, a dress that belonged to Prince Diana was sold for $ 1.14 million.

“People consider these objects a kind of assets, because, if they come into their possession, it is very likely that in the years that will be able to sell them more than those paid at the auction”,
he said.

Part of the amounts collected following the auction will be directed for the benefit of the Dystrophy muscular charitable organization.

The exhibition before the auction will remain open in Newbridge until June 17.
